As for Belechick's job security, that was secured after the Patriots first Super Bowl victory...A game that was tight all the way down to the end seconds and relied on a FG...If we honestly had the Ram's def scouted with camera's the game would of been blown open far more then a FG. Which that season we were basicly the underdogs (10-6 I think) throughout the season....no one expected us to reach it let alone win it.
And a team is only as good as the coach that leads them...team cant run without plays plays cant be made without a coach.
And what about the years we didnt make it to the super bowl? Did the camera feed fail? Was our camera man sick on important games? Proves that the Patriots are not invincible and even if we did have cameras had no effect on the games or we would of had 6 straight Super Bowl trophies and banners hanging in the stadium.
Sir, you are still avoiding the one important point , so I will ask you directly: Was or was not a rule of the sport which could have given a team an unfair advantage broken or not? This, and this only, is the only thing that must be adressed; not what we may think of our favorite (or other)teams.

I will say that the rule was broken, but hear this first.
The NFL rules state that you cant take video of game..but you can take still pictures...what is film...a series of still pictures taken 1 at a time quickly over a period of time so whats the harm of video?(im just tossing that in for fun )
But onto serious matter..What makes it any different that someone could be looking over on the opponents side of the field that has good vision and staring at the coach and see what he is doing with his arms and hands...THEN... writing down what he does and relay it up the the team press box whom takes still pictures of the play before AND right after the snap to see where the defense moves you could then compare the defense positions AND hand signals to see what they mean.
This isnt breaking the rules because NFL allows still photographs to be taken of the game and you cant fine a person for where he is looking with his own two eyes so...
Its either writing down the hand signals and matching them up with the still photographs and finding them that way OR the video way.
1 is legal and the other isnt yet they both follow nearly the same principal but different methods

Bilechick just seemed to of picked the wrong method

Before I respond, Hio; I need to apologize for the manner of my last post. It was way too snappy; and there was no reason for me to behave in that manner.
Okay, the only difference is that the rule spcecifically states "no videotaping". That is the difference between my point and yours. Belichick's understanding of it, and the fact that he proceeded to act upon this misunderstanding without having first sought clarification is where my issue lays. As I stated in an ealier post, I cannot accept the explanation that he didn't understand the rules. The words are pretty clear to even me.
Now, the other issue is just how long has Belichick's actions been going on? Yes, Goodell stated that the tape was seized early and that it had no effect upon the game's outcome. What about all the games before that this was going on (including a Super Bowl)?
Again, I apologize for my earlier words and hope that we can continue to debate on any such subject; whatever the topic. I will choose my words more carefully.

Oh dont apologize, you were acting perfectly normal and calm...ish lol
Is there proof that the videotaping was done during all of the past 6 seasons?
Maybe last season but did we win the super bowl? Nope
Year before that?...Nope
I just think that Belichick made a mistake this season and maybe last season.
But none during Super Bowl seasons.
But I guess thats what the tapes will tell

That is exactly why there must be a more thorough investigation as to how long this behavior has been going on. If this just the one-time incident; I could see (and agree) to the fine and/or the loss of the draft pick. But, as you said; that is what the tapes will tell.
