The Chargers were lucky to win over Tennessee yesterday. Can anybody beat the Pats and the 'Boys?

Now, now, you shouldn't go picking on the worst team in the NFL, PN.

Wouldn't it be funny though, that the Dolphins could be the only team in NFL history to have two perfect seasons: A winning season in 1972 (17-0), and a losing season 35 years later at 0-16.

What would be incredibily ironic is if the Miami Dolphins went 0-16, and the Pats get a perfect season at 16-0, when the Dolphins are the only team to ever have a perfect winning season?

Yep.

The Chargers could play the Pats again, and if that should happen, I hope they can return the favor from last year when the Pats beat them in San Diego in the playoff game.

I know you love the Packers, OD;but do you think Favre is going to retire after this season? Last season, I would have bet my life on it. I know Favre is of a different kind of athlete- one who must always push himself to excellence. Last year, it was obvious that losing was not to his liking. When it isn't fun anymore, he will leave. But this year, there is another factor- age. Yes, the Pack are winning this year; and Favre is the Favre we are used to seeing. But at what point do the Packers start planning beyond him? I have to tell you OD; I think the Pack are playing a dangerous game to leave Favre still in the game late when the game is pretty well over- and the fat lady is starting to clear her voice.
By the way, I am no Bears fan; but I think the Bears/Packers rivalry is one of the best things in all of professional sports. For some reason, both of these teams seem to play their very best when playing each other!

Well NJ, I must admit to tears watching the game on Sunday. The Bears did quite a number on the Pack. And harder still for me, I have traitors in my family...yes, it is a truth, I am grieved to live with. You see, we are from Chicago. But I was the baby of the family. So I was raised in Wisconsin, though my older brothers have a loyalty to the Bears. Heck, my one brother's son even named his baby daugther Peyton!!!

I think that Coach Mike ought to play Aaron Rodgers more than he does. And when Brett hurt his elbow a couple games back, and sadly we did lose, it was not from the offense, but the defense that we suffered the loss. (and some very wrong calls by the refs)
And Aaron played a fine game indeed, doing a splendid display of his good quarter-backing abilities.

I think we will go to the Superbowl though this year yet, will win and Brett will leave in a tide of glory and praise.

And if I was ever gonna have another baby, I would name him Brett...with a Peyton in the family, I believe to balance things we need a Brett. But more likely for me, to convince one of my children to start a family and name my first grandson Brett.

If the Packers are going to go back to the Super Bowl, they may have to go through Dallas, OhDear. I feel better about their chances than I do about the Chargers.

I'm going to agree with H80 here, OD. I believe the NFC championship will have to go through Dallas. It will be a great game if it is the Pack and the Cowboys.
I think the Pack should just let Favre play the first quarter Sunday. The risk is too great should he take a bad hit and injury. It's time to see what Aaron Rodgers can do.
By the way, until my seperation and divorce; I was living in Silver Lake, Wisconsin. I have to admit that the Packers are a religion by themselves in Wisconsin. I also learned the secret to making real bratwurst. And I experienced what Packer tailgating was about five years ago. But I still can't (and never will) understand sitting outside in freezing temperatures for three hours to watch a game. I met an older gentleman who did so at the famous Packer/Cowboys Ice Bowl. I guess I'm just a television fan of football.

I know that the Chargers have the talent; but I'm not too sure about the ability they show to be consistent. That could be one heck of an AFC title game, though.
