I think the Pack should just let Favre play the first quarter Sunday. The risk is too great should he take a bad hit and injury. It's time to see what Aaron Rodgers can do.
By the way, until my seperation and divorce; I was living in Silver Lake, Wisconsin. I have to admit that the Packers are a religion by themselves in Wisconsin. I also learned the secret to making real bratwurst. And I experienced what Packer tailgating was about five years ago. But I still can't (and never will) understand sitting outside in freezing temperatures for three hours to watch a game. I met an older gentleman who did so at the famous Packer/Cowboys Ice Bowl. I guess I'm just a television fan of football.
Oh my! Brats!!! Yup....in all honesty, I really do not like brats too much at all. But my neck of the woods is where to experience 'em.

I do not know why the good Lord chose to put me in such a cold clime either. I keep thinking he ought to talk to me, give me a message to deliver to the good folk in Jamaica or something, but so far, I got nuthin;...

I watch the Packers on TV only. And every place that has a TV does the same.

Last year I found a picture of Brett Favre on an image search, and it was a stained glass window ...he was looking rather orthodox. I posted it here somewhere but cannot locate it at google either again. But yeah...The Packers have a faithful following.
And I am such an adherent myself.

I can't particularly understand the love of some Packer fans (and Bear fans) to sit outdoors in December for three hours; but I admire them for their devotion to their team. I just prefer to enjoy football in reasonable comfort.

I know football is over for this season. But I found this and wanted to share it with y'all. It surely does reflect my thoughts.

YouTube - We Love Brett Favre
Actually, OD; I was going to ask you if you had heard whether or not Favre was going to return next season. Some friends were asking me my opinion on this, to which I declined until I spoke with you.
I have to admit that this video is representative of almost everyone I know in Wisconsin. Bart Starr is almost an afterthought these days. I have never been a "true" Packer fan -although I have to admit that you PackerBackers throw one heck of a tailgate party at Lambeau Field on gamedays. I was lucky enough to have experienced one about 7 years ago with a buddy who practically bled Packer green and gold. I thought he was nuts waking me up at 7 a.m. so that we could be at the stadium parking lot by 9. But I soon learned that brats, smoked turkey wings, and other culinary treats of the sort are the "brunch of the day" on Sundays in Wisconsin.
When I moved there myself; I was more prepared for it, so it didn't shock me so much. Although I'm still not (and never will be) a fan of sitting outdoors in subzero temperatures for a sporting event- including ice-fishing. All in all, I can say that these traits of the Packer Nation; and their storied history, are some of what makes football so special. I've said before:the rivalry with the Bears is robably unequalled in sports. Neither team has 'favorite' status with me, but I enjoy their two yearly meetings because of he emotion involved. Another friend refers to these games as "the biggest sportsgasm in history".

I think he will grace the team with another season, but have not heard yet for sure. I know our coach is staying. And being paid quite well for his time and skills applied to our next season that will take us into the Superbowl!

Here is a link about Brett...Brett Watch

I only ask because I actually think he should take a step back (if he should return) to backup quarterback and let the Pack start looking to it's future. That's probably my most contentious comment on the Packers. They are so in love with Brett Favre now; they can't plan for the transition period with clear thoughts.

I would have said the same thing, but the problem is I said the same thing last year, and he got over 4000 yards and took his team to the NFC championship
