The funny thing I'm noticing is: people are including Archie in the mix of the Mannings and their quarterbacking talents. Sure, Archie was the father; and probably inspired the boys to want to play pro football, but Archie was about as useless as you-know whats on a boar hog as far as his quarterbacking skill and talent went. I really couldnt say, Ive never actualy watched him play. I know Eli blew up all his records at old Miss. I listened to Madden talk about Archie play, and he said he was a very good QB that was always on crap teams, with poor offensive lines, and all kinds of other weaknesses. Now Im not defending him, just telling ya what I heard.

I respect Madden as a football analyst; but I think he was just being polite with Archie here. I watched Archie play in the past; and while it is true that the Saints of his time were known as the "Aints"; Archie was the quarterback of that most pitiful team.
I'm sure he is a nice person. I'm not attacking him or his sons on a personal level. I just believe that Archie never showed at any time while he played one tenth of the talent of either of his sons.

If anything, I hope Junior Seau and Rodney Harrison gets there Super Bowl rings, for sentimental reasons. They play hard, as they did when they were with the Chargers. Other than that, I don't care who wins.

I'm routing for the Giants, as I can't stand that prissy pretty boy Tom Brady, but I would bet on it.
