I think that as long as the Giant coaching staff keeps young Eli on a simple game plan, and that the Giant defense does not allow Brady to get too far ahead; I see no reason why the Giants should not be able to beat the point spread. Itwas originally 14 points when I was in Vegas for the Conference title games, but at last check it has been bet down to 12 points.
I actually want the Giants to win; but I will admit that the Pats are running like a well-oiled machine right now. But I could never give them a double digit cushion in the Super Bowl considering that the Giants played them so tough (and should have defeated them) a few weeks back. We'll see what happens.

Well, I would put money on the Giants just to beat the point spread - lose by 12 or less. Even if the Giants lose by less than 12, I would win. I did that with Pittsburgh in the 1996 Super Bowl. I hated Dallas, so I picked Pittsburgh. They lost to Dallas, but I won some money. Fans who picked Dallas lost money anyway.

Will you be able to get coverage of the Super Bowl over whatever media outlet you have, such as Armed Forces Radio; PN? If so, take some time off if possible to unwind. I can tell that you've been in the sun too long.

I found this story rather amusing, in regards to the Super Bowl.

Strahan and Toomer deserve it as much as anyone in the league. In fact more so. They were drafted by the Giants, and have been with the team there entire carrer's.

The game will start about 4:30am Monday morning here. No, I have no good way to watch it.

I understand your sentiments, Grace; but there is no such thing as deserving. You must do what it takes to win the game; or you lose. It's just that rude (I'm sorry) and simple. I'd be willing to bet that OhDear would echo the same sentiments for Brett Favre.
So, it all boils down to: do you think the Giants can (and must) do what it takes to win the game- or are the Pats so strong that they will deflect this last team in their quest for the ultimate prize, and a place in football history for having the perfect record?

Joe, I am much obliged to you for mentioning my number 4, even on this day when he "ought to have" been preparing to play in the Superbowl.

I understand both your viewpoint and that of Grace. It is the same way people vote in political elections, we all have our reasons for which "party" we support and which candidates we cheer on, vote for, and have affection for.

I go with The Giants today. Why? Solely cos I do not take any shine whatsoever to the arrogance of one, Randy Moss.

Well the apartment is clean and I am soon going to have company.

Will be thinking of so many here watching the game too. Wouldn't it be so much fun to all get together in person during next year's Superbowl? The one when The Packers do play. Brett's last year.
