The same thing happened with me a few years ago in that game where Favre played right after his father passed away. He had the game of his life that night and as he came off the field, tears were streaming down his face. I'm not sure if there was a dry eye in Lambeau that evening. I know there wasn't in my house.

Sports and life's inevitable influences sometimes collide and generate tremendous emotion. It's something we should celebrate, male or female, not ridicule.
I am fortunate to have watch him whenever the Packers are in San Diego, whether it is Super Bowl 32 or vs. the Chargers.

It was just a funny joke. And no, I've never read Sports Illustrated even whilst in the US.

Lucky you. I try to make it to see my Patriots once a season, but the tickets are sooooo expensive. The season sells out in a matter of minutes each year, so unless you know someone you're stuck paying scalper prices.

Hate is NOT a 'family value.'
Feminism: the radical notion that women are human beings.

I can understand a man crying over the loss of his father. And we know women turn on the tears at will if it helps them to manipulate a given situation.

But why cry about leaving a sports career where he earned millions and millions of dollars?

Clearly he wasn't playing for fun or to please the fans.

Favre needs to grow up and show a good example to all the kids of how a real man faces changes.

I guess you don't understand the emotions that Favre had when he was sobbing when he retired from the game. He hated to leave the game, so he paid his dues. Grow up!? How do you mean that? He's grown up a long time ago.

Arguing with you is like arguing with a log.

I know I cracked a joke earlier in the thread, but there's nothing wrong with a man getting emotional over retiring from a fanstastic career in the NFL. He is definitely one of the greatest quarterbacks to ever play the game. Even people who are not Packer fans have respect for him.
