Thumbs up Tiger Woods
Is this guy awesomely amazing or what? I don't know if I've ever seen anything like what I saw yesterday! He now leads the US Open after 3 rounds.

Any takes on this? Does anyone think that his knee will hold up through today's round?

I certainly hope so - no matter what happens, he is a true champion in my book.

Any other thoughts anyone has on Tiger will be greatly appreciated. . .

Here are some highlights from yesterday:


If he wins today, he will be only 4 major tournaments short of tying Jack Nicklaus' record of 18. Never thought I'd see anything like this in my lifetime. . .

Tiger is amazing. I saw the highlights from last night. He was phenomenal for a hurt guy.

The tournament is taking place 10 miles from my home. Man, I watched his impossible birdie on the 17th and his eagle on the 18th on TV. He is so awesome to watch. He teed off about an hour ago.

That birdie on the 17th hole - just amazing.

Update - Tiger (about 2 minutes ago) just sank about a 15 foot birdie putt on his last hole of the day to tie with Rocco Mediate for the lead. . . simply amazing.

Anyways, he and Mediate will play an 18 hole playoff tomorrow to decide the championship.

I'm placing my bet on Woods.

Any takers?

I will let you know the bet if you decide to take it. . .

I'll pass on the bet. But I will take El Tigre anyday. What an awesome weekend this has been for the county and city of San Diego. As this is the first US Open here, this is nothing short of spectacular.

I have been watching Tiger for years. The man is not human! He is absolutely the most spectacular golf player the world has ever seen!!

I've seen him drive it off the fairway into the trees and still save par. I've seen him chip it out of a bunker for birdie. The amazing thing is that he does things like that consistently. He has made professional golf more popular than ever and truly exciting to watch.

I am a HUGE fan of Tiger Woods!!

Is it really an 18 hole playoff? Usually they only go 3 holes.

Usually in the US Open, they do an 18 hole playoff (I believe that today's round starts at noon). Then, if the players are still tied, I believe they go into sudden death. . .

Anyhow, it will exciting to watch!
