Pats didn't "cheat," my friend. There was a misinterpretation of NFL rules on Belichick's part that resulted in videotape being confiscated six minutes into the first quarter of their week 1 matchup with the NY Jests. How exactly did they benefit from that? They didn't. The only proof that the Pats did anything wrong was not used to benefit them in any way.

I didn't read about any penalties for salary cap stuff or "front office favoritism." Could you link me to those stories? Sounds to me like your tinfoil hat's on a little too tight. Are you possibly a disgruntled Raiders fan? The "tuck rule" is a valid NFL rule, y'know.

Montana was awesome, I agree. However I think when Tom hangs up his cleats, he will be right there with Montana. The Brady-to-Moss era has only seen one season thus far. Gooooo Pats!

Did you catch their first preseason game, OTF?
It was on in the bar where I was hosting karaoke, I was trying to pay attention to it, wouldn't call it watching it. I will be able to watch Sunday though!

Yep, I'll be working the game, OtF. That's an NBC game, which starts at 5:15 PM here on Sunday, 10/12.

I've worked the Chargers' game since 1977. I've seen some very good teams in the Coryell era and the Bobby Ross era. And there was one year when the Chargers only won one game (2001, I think).

I think this might be our year to win it all.

Did the Pats replace about three guys on their O-line?
The Giants ripped the Pat's O-line.

All five members of the starting o-line are back for the Pats. However a couple of them have been nursing injuries throughout camp. Because Belichick's so secretive about his injury report, nobody knows how serious those injuries are.

We'll find out week one, I guess.

Indeed they did. Good thing Mr. Strahan retired. In every other game last season, the Patriots offensive line held up very well.

Mike had a great year. Im so glad he was able to go out on top.

However, what most people dont realize, Mike retireing only made the Giants stronger at end. Justin Tuck is a MONSTER. Stuffed the run, and went after the QB in a part time roll BETTER than Stray in a full time roll. With the stats to prove it.

Then of course Osi is out for the season. And that really sux. But again, what most people dont realize is Kiwi (moved from LB to end, his natural position) is just as good, and in some ways better than Osi.

The offense Has every starter returning, and some great up and coming kids who helped alot in the superbowl.

Our division is insane though, so Im not sure we will make it to the show again

The Pats will definity make it to at least the AFC championship, there division is probably the weakest in the league

Ben out, but Steelers' D, Leftwich rip 'Skins 23-6

LANDOVER, Md. – Byron Leftwich led two touchdown drives after Ben Roethlisberger reinjured his throwing shoulder and the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Washington Redskins 23-6 on Monday night.
The Steelers' top-rated defense had seven sacks, allowed only 221 yards and became the first team this season to intercept Jason Campbell.
Leftwich went 7-of-10 for 129 yards and a touchdown as the Steelers (6-2) beat an NFC East team for the first time in three attempts this season.
Roethlisberger was 5-of-17 for 50 yards and an interception before leaving the game at halftime, again hindered by the slightly separated shoulder that has bothered him since the second week of the season.
Roethlisberger said he hurt the shoulder on the 1-yard sneak that gave the Steelers a 10-6 lead near the end of the first half.

The Chargers has better beat Kansas City on Sunday, or they may as well plan for the 2009 season.
