Well, it sure didn't take long. I heard this morning that Alex Rodriguez is being accused of steroid use. Jose Canseco claims "to have some stuff against him, also". People, we are seeing the last death throes of a sportonce known as "America's Pastime"

I wouldn't think so, H80. Until he sells it he has no income from it, so how can he be expected to pay taxes on it?

The days of players like Joe DiMaggio, Willie Mays and Lou Gehrig, men who played for the love of the game, are gone.

It's hard to get excited about a sport when you know it's just a job to the guys playing it.

Well, who can believe what Jose Canseco says? I don't think A-Rod has ever used steroids.

Hey, check this out. What would you do with Barry's #756 homerun ball?

There is little doubt that the world in general is more liberal than it was 50 years ago and beyond. Conservatives are simply roadblocks on the path to an ever more progressive and liberal world. What a sad existence.

I think Mr. Eckos is making his own personal statement as to how he feels about thie Bonds situation. Please remember that no matter what any of us might even think about this: BONDS STILL NOT HAS BEEN PROVEN TO HAVE BROKEN ANY RULES! Why is this? I believe that first- MLB opened themselves up to something like this by never having any concrete rules regarding steroids and HGH beforehand.
As far as any other train of thought; it is still just allegations! Nothing more. Until there is a thing called proof in this case, which has not been even closely achieved; this record is still good and must stand. No asterisk, no nothing.

No proof? He basically admitted it under oath. And if you compare a photo from earlier in his career it is pretty damn obvious.

It would take the hubble telescope to find his balls. The asterisk will win I believe.

My hat is off to Mr. Ecko.

HEHEHE I voted for the branding too

Its just like Mark too. That guy was skinny his whole career then suddenly he bulked up and was pounding them out...so is Giambi and now Bond
Early in their careers they were skinny built but had good skill to keep them in the majors, but for some reason they bulked up to the size of Marble slabs and no one calls foul or even thinks what the fuck happened?

I too tip my hat to Mr. Ecko

Okay, Hev and Hio; then why wasn't Bonds immediately banned from the game or even suspended? As far as how their bodies grew, is there any such steroid or hormone that made Bonds decide to swing at all 756 balls that went over the fences? I don't believe there was or is. That can be attributed to only one source- Barry Bonds decision to do so.
Mr. Eckos only made this pronouncement because he has money. I can guarantee you that the first thing anyone else without money would look to do is to sell this ball. I really think Mr. Eckos is just trying to influence his choice because he owns the ball.
