I am so glad Italy beat France for the cup. The french don't deserve to win anything in my opinion. They're all a bunch of snail eaters.

I think he was one of the best on their team and this was officially his last game. He wasn't too happy to end his career with a red flag.

I was hoping for France. Italy is racist. But that headbutt by Zidane was a dumb move. Real dumb. That probably lost them the game.

Personally, I've never been more interested in soccer than after this World Cup. I just can't believe Zidane would want to go out like that, especially as a team captain and leader...your team is in OT and you're one of the best PK takers in the world...and you get a red card for a stupid "look at how big my balls are" move. I was pulling for France until they got a PK goal on a bad call. When Italy tied it...I wasn't sure who to pull for. Zidane still won the Golden Ball as the Cup's MVP. That is the right thing. He was the best and most valuable player. Just because of that red card in the final shouldnt take MVP away from him.

I want the U.S. to man up for Christ's sakes. I don't think there would be anything sweeter than the United States winning the World Cup. A lot of people internationally regard U.S. soccer as a joke. I guess it is because we have a little more imagination than to only play one sport...nevertheless, for the U.S. to beat all of the world's greatest team would be a true testament. I am guilty of an American that is jealous that we are not the best or close to the best at something. Guilty as charged....but let's win a World Cup.
