It's not all about the action... It's the strategy, the skill, the rules... It's more intense. Any twit who's in decent shape can be in UFC, you don't even have to be using the same fighting styles! There's no structure... It's no sport... If I want to see UFC I can go to a local highschool.
Fight the good fight, and die with the enemy's heart in your hand.

I see UFC not for its hard hitting but it requires strategy aswell, you need to think on your feet fast, what moves you need to make to counter your opponent. When you are on the ground getting hit or avoiding hits you need to think what can i do to get in close and do this or if i do this to him how will he counter and what will happen after that. With UFC you need to worry about the hands, feet, knees, forearms, and any other part of the opponent(besides head and elbows) that can be used as a striking blow. In boxing you only need to be fixated on the hands.

That last part is not true at all... As a boxer myself I can tell you that if you are going to focus on only one part of the opponents body (but that would be a bad idea), it should be their feet...

ok yeah you are right about that, my mistake. The hands, feet, and body motion you should watch on a boxer but you have to see the difference in style. That UFC fighters have to undure more punishment to their bodies and STILL think like a chess game watching their opponents WHOLE body movements

mainly rookie fights because they dont know what to do most of the time and they just rush in. The fights with more veteran men usually go the full 3 rounds of 5mins and go to decission.

I doubt they have to endure MORE punishment... The only way you can endure more punishment than that you get from a Heavy-weight is by being in a car accident... LOL

What it boils down to is that it's two different styles. I like one, you like the other. Neither is better, they are just different.

LOL but you have to admit that you would deal more damage with the UFC and their little baby gloves that offer little padding so you are basicly hitting pure fist or a fat ol boxing glove. But you are right, you love your sport and i love mine. simple as that

I like the lighter weight classes for more action (boxing). These guys can go 12 rounds and still throw as many punches as in the early rounds. perfect example was Sugar Ray Leonard in his prime, that guy would throw 300 punches in a 3 minute round in training.
The heavyweights can throw hard but they carry the extra weight and in the later rounds they hold on and throw once in awhile.
On a personal note,my opinion is DeLaHoya in 9 by TKO.
