I am 6 ft 2 and weigh 260 pounds, I dont need any weapons usually , but little old ladies and people of a lesser stature may need one to defend themselves from rapists, burglars, and murderers. P.S. The ancient egyptians developed batteries using lemon juice and copper to power electric lights in the homes of the higher classes, that was approximately 3000 years ago. There are also thousands of treatments and cures for common diseases that are derived from ancient knowledge, a lot of which was suppressed by christianity(thanks largely to England). Leeches being one of the few that were totally inafectual and thusly are sensationalised as the leading medical practice of the day, while many other holistic cures where actually quite effective.
