You shouldn't underestimate smaller people, especially females. Many of us are alot tougher and stronger then we look.

you don't want to get in the way of my 11 year old daughter swinging her 19.5 oz 32in louieville slugger, it would be ugly

I'm not surprised. Afterall, dynamite comes in small packages.

Both my hubby and brother are big fellas. Hubby's almost 6'5", my brother is over 6'6"...Both of them are the first to tell people they really don't want to get me too mad or pick a fight with me. Just playing around, I've brought them to thier knees. And both are ex-military? ROTFLMAOL!!!

But as they'll tell you, I've got the advantage. I'm small and fast. And nearly impossible to pin cause I don't play fair. And hubby says I have a wicked right hook. He knows from experience.

What about a 90-year old grandma? Not sure how well she could swing a bat, but she's deadly with an MP40.

You're preaching to the choir on that one, Aly.

I'm a guy who is 5'5 and tips the scales at about 155-170.. depending on my workout vs. sweets intake ratio that month...LOL. "Beefy" for my height.. but still very small, as far as American men go.

I know what you mean. I have a sister who is 4'11. I don't think I'd want to piss her off.

Back to the subject of alternative weapons.. how about one of those old-school steel CB antennas some people put on their cars?

Could you imagine getting one of those things across the face?

That would work...Although giving the spatula treatment works well too.

I got a 12" cast iron skillet that could make you think twice about helping yourself to my stuff.
