Woman Accused in 'Decorations Shooting'Dec 10 06:25 PM US/Eastern
BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) - Authorities say a Springfield woman was booked on attempted murder counts for allegedly shooting two men whose dog damaged Christmas decorations at her home. Ethel Shannon McKinney, 28, was booked on two counts of attempted second-degree murder and illegal use of a weapon, Jason Ard, a spokesman for the Livingston Parish Sheriff's Department, said.
McKinney and her boyfriend got into an argument with the men over the damaged decorations, and McKinney allegedly fired at the men, Ard said.
One man was hit in the upper torso and arm; the other, in an arm. Ard said none of the injuries were life threatening.
The incident happened around 9:30 p.m. Sunday.
McKinney's boyfriend, Audie Ray Criswell, was booked on two counts of aggravated assault and with disturbing the peace, Ard said.

If she were a member of the DtT, we could ask her.

indago,

I think the answer garysher was looking for is The Declaration of Independence, because it reaffirms the existing agreement between sovereigns.

My question was how you can prove that this alleged "right" existed before the Bill of Rights?

How about other "rights" that have since been included in the Bill of Rights, did they also pre-exist and were just overlooked or forgotten?

And if these alleged "rights" were granted by the Creator how come they are arbitrarily granted to Americans?

And why do Americans lack rights granted to citizens of other countries, presumably by the Creator?

Or does the US receive preferential treatment from the Creator and have a monopoly on the right "rights"?

garysher,

The answer to your question is found in the principles of sovereignty. No one on earth has dominion over another, which establishes unalienable rights of an individual.

I'm not sure how that answers my questions - can you explain?

Also, if one person has a gun and another doesn't - that gives the one with the gun plenty of dominion over the other!

Unalienable rights establishes moral authority. Your gun (might makes right) doesn't give you moral authority.

How does a decent and law abiding citizen represent a threat to anyone but an active criminal?
You seem to think that only the government/police know what ethics are.
