WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States reversed policy on Wednesday and said it would back launching talks on a treaty to regulate arms sales as long as the talks operated by consensus, a stance critics said gave every nation a veto. The decision, announced in a statement released by the U.S. State Department, overturns the position of former President George W. Bush's administration, which had opposed such a treaty on the grounds that national controls were better...

Damn, I wish we had a do nothing administration. |

Si?? | Banning firearms wouldn't have stopped anything except keeping law abiding citizens from a means to protect themselves. If Obama plans to push this shit down our throats he will be gone. About 50% of Americans have legal firearms and trust me they won't give them up............and there's alot of southern democrats who voted for Obama but will quickly take back those votes in 2012. |

Makes me wonder how they can freely get those weapons, and how the couple is going to be rescued without a ransom being paid, and how the pirates can be killed?

But being armed isn't the problem. Kidnapping for ransom could be done with kitchen butter knives and some household goods purchased at Wal Mart. Hell a boxcutter would do the job nicely (see 911 terrorist articles on how they did it).
And getting the weapons is never a problem for criminals. But with gun bans it only makes it more difficult for law abiding citizens.......who should be afforded a means to protect themselves. How hard would it be for kidnappers to take someone that was armed? Alot more difficult. It still would happen but chances are it would happen alot less to the armed portion of society. |

I'd like to see someone try and take my guns away from me. |

Source: U.S. reverses stance on treaty to regulate arms trade | Politics | Reuters | 1. They're talking about maybe one day having a new UN treaty wherein major arms exports would face some sort of regulation, there's nothing there that comes close to “Takin‘ yer guns away!!ˇ!”. Nothing about banning firearms or even new regulations on domestic sales lol.
2. A hypothetical UN gun-grabbing treaty that radical would never fly in the USA. I‘m HIGHLY doubtful Americans would ever give up their weapons, no matter who asked or told, espcially the UN LMAO.
And 3-10. Fuck Alex Jones. |

The only reason it's not successful here like it has been in the UK is because Americans won't go along with it. But they will indeed keep trying to. And when they can't ban the guns they make the ammunition very difficult to get.
My local Wal Mart has been sold out of .40 cal rounds for about 10 months or more. That's the other one to watch for. The ammo. |
