Not gun violence, but I certainly promote the right to bear arms, and to use those arms in defense of oneself. Especially if you are being harrased by people like the Klan.

Wow... I could not agree more. I never thought about it but I guess guns do play an important role. I really like the poster with the black man and the rifle talking about civilrights laws...

it reminds me of what father denis obrien had to say. i think it is below in my signature quote. if not, heres how it goes.

It is the SOLDIER, not the reporter,
who preserves the freedom of the press.
And it is the SOLDIER, not the poet,
who protects our freedom of speech.
It is the SOLDIER, not the campus organiser,
who puts his life on the line
to give others the freedom to demonstrate...
And it is the SOLDIER,
Who salutes the Flag,
Who serves beneath the flag,
And whose coffin is draped by the Flag
who protects the protesters right to burn the Flag.

Father Denis Obrien, USMC

Whoever wrote the First Amendment must be pissed off at Father Denis right now.

Just kidding. Seriously, I think it's a good quote as well. However when people send you that quote in emails to justify the Iraq War, my taste for the quote goes down. (Happened to me if you couldn't guess)
But it don't take much to get me by
