There are a few bad apples, but they get rooted out by the system we already have in place, and tossed from the associations.
Seems like there is already a pretty cumbersome system of individual organizations, agencies and people plodding along. Wouldn't it just make more sense to centralize it? Ther are going to be just as many people involved in it. The system is going to just as liable to be exploited as it is now, there are going be jsut as much waste and MAYBE just MAYBE Average Joe won't get screwed over.

Your basic contention seems to be that "government" by its very definition is incompetent. If so, then don't you think it's time to re-evaluate by what criteris government is installed and monitored?

The solution to governmental mismanagement is NOT to cut government out completely, but rather to improve it's management. It's like cutting off your arm because you can't raise a glass to your lips with it. WOuldn't the better option be to go through the physiotherapy required to improve your arm'smovement?

Look i'm not denigrating the ethics of a health insurance professional. HOWEVER considering their position between the insurance company ( whose profit increases by every policy not claimed) and the client ( who cannot possibly know what ailments he/she should be insured against PRIOR to sickness) a clear conflict of interest arises. And i do not think that this a acceptable when it comes to people's health.

Well it seems that you are quite cynical about the nature of man. I am not. Communism as was imposed by the USSR is not a viable system. However i can assure you that even greed can be combatted. The Danish socialist system does not rely on the altruism of its people. It relies on ensuring that the people gain something fromt he taxes they pay ( by for instance not wasting it on stupid wars) It ensures it by always making WORK more profitable than idleness. It ensures it by assuring the population that the money is being spent for the improvement of public facilities and services. The GREED of people is combatted by simply showing them that fulfilling your civic duties is jsut MORE PROFITABLE.
