As with any addiction, it is rooted deep within the individual human psyche. I would ponder, however, which sex has the greater addiction, the need for or the need to utilize....

Okay that said, I know I find sex totally right and wondrous because love is in his and my hearts. And the truth is, if he never even had a penis, I would find total and exhilirating satisfaction with all my faculties simply from his kiss with mine and our hands pressed together to say "We belong to each other" ...

But now I am thinking that we need to have a sex forum here. Cos I got a load of questions and even the sister site of Expertise does not offer answers on this particular scope and sequence of living the human experience to its fullest. Perhaps the mods/admin here could consider opening a new thread ???

First of all OD, you are definitely NOT naive. I personally have found your posts to be well thought out. You also have that rare gift of admitting when you don't know something; rather than confusing an issue further. Many people can (and should) take heed of your example.
I have always believed that love and sex are two seperate and distinct things. Sex is physical attraction to another, and the physical act of expressing that attraction. Love is a mental thought that lets people know that thier partner is the one that they want to truly be with; possibly resulting in marraige( for single people) or it is the confirming thought process that you are already with that person( for the married and about to be married's).
Don't let me really confuse you here. Simply put, you can have sex without love. We see it everyday. I don't mind admitting that in my younger days I used to go out with my buddies to some of the local bars and try to "pick up" a girl (sometimes two- women were a little promiscuous where I was living at the time) and take them back to my place for some meaningless sex.
Was I in love with any of them? Definitely not. I was just trying to satisfy a physical attraction I might have felt. Either I thought the woman was pretty, or she had the sort of body I liked.
Before anybody starts preaching about how I and my buddies were treating women as trophies back then- I will save you the trouble. I freely admit it. But have no illusions; there are women who did ( and still do, just as much as men) behave in this manner.
I really hope I didn't offend anyone here with that blunt viewpoint.

Joe, you do not offend me at least. Not even a little! I am glad for your post that is candid and for that, educational. Though it is a lesson I have by now learned.
I do realize that sex and love are two distinct things. And that many might even state love to get sex. I don't know why anyone would even want to do that though.
I mean shoot man! You can find enough willing partners who will have sex for sex so why butter it all up with confessions that ought to be found in the heart?
Sex is foundationally a biological function and it is healthy.
But some of us are wired emotionally and spiritually to not abandon ourselves to it's experience apart from love.
Still, if that new sex forum gets up and running, I might have a few insights every now and then, as well as a number of inquiries.
OD

P.S. And thank you for your kind words about my character.
