Very well stated. I fail to understand why anyone who isn't heavily invested in insurance company stock could possibly object to this plan.
Right now America spends $700 billion every year on foreign oil. That's our money going overseas when it could be staying here. We have to stop this.

I don't want the same healthcare as a guy living on the street. I'm not rich, but I damn sure ain't destitute. And I don't want "lowest common denominator" health care.

Would you please go read the plan to that you have something to add to this conversation?

Okay I read it. It read like I was in the school gym listening to a bunch of vague promises by prospective class president candidates. I'll read more in depth later.

What utter nonsense! Every American pays for countless things they may not need or be able to afford!!

Quit looking for socialist answers.

Define socialist.

BTW how do you feel about privatising the military instead of the current socialist military?

And read something that plays the Devil's Advocate with Hillary's ideas. How about doing a search on her. Don't just read the nicey-nicey articles about her. Find out who she really is. She is not who she appears to be, i.e., all benevolent and kind.

Unlike George Bush, the Mother Theresa of World politics!

Please try to grow up and stop making up this childish rubbish.

As I said in so many words, the answers can be found in the past. Go back and eliminate whatever was placed in that started the out-of-control spiral of healthcare. One clue, not so far back, is illegal aliens using OUR healthcare facilities as an everyday trip to the hospital's emergency room (as opposed to making an appointment at the doctor's office where they would have to pay) and/or having babies and not paying the bill. Nothing in this life is free. SOMEONE pays, and currently, it's the middle class American citizens.
I agree that foreigners and illegal aliens should not be eligible for free healthcare paid for by US taxpayers.

You need to know that thousands of Americans visit other countries for medical treatment and prescription drugs because they cannot afford them in their home country.

You also need to know that the current system is broken, and is slowly strangling huge US companies like GM, Ford, United Airlines etc.

Shoving the problem of health care on to employers isn't a good solution either because SOMEONE pays, and currently, it's the middle class American.

Every car payment, mortgage payment, grocery bill etc etc includes a component that goes to pay somebody's health insurance.

And everybody is forced to pay it.

As I recall my NJ auto insurance plan, I accepted the lawsuit limit option that gave me a much lower premium. In return for an affordable policy, I gave up my right to sue other drivers for pain/suffering. I never had to use this insurance, but it seems like a reasonable means of making meaningful health insurance more affordable.

Oh, yeah? Try to dig up some "dirt" on Ron Paul, Libertarian turned Republican for the GOP ticket in 2008.

As far as the rest of your post, I agree 100%. But that's not the worst of it, I'm sorry to say.

I really don't give a crap if her plan is trimmed in gold! IT'S SOCIALISM!!! pure and simple!!!! and the United States of America was intended to be a REPUBLIC, not some socialist, communistic country like Russia! You don't take from (read "rob") other people to give to those who, in most cases are lazy bums who've never worked for an honest dollar their whole life!! A person who works their ass off to get ahead in life shouldn't have to support some lazy, shiftless person who hang out on the streets, doing hip-hop, dealing drugs and knocking up every broad that will let him, then not support his offspring. If her plan was to take care of those who genuinely can't help themselves, such as the elderly, disabled, and incompetent, I'd go for it. But I don't want money taken from me to support people who've never had the ambition to do for themselves. Evidently you wouldn't mind paying for some deadbeat's healthcare who flunked out of school because he/she were too lazy to apply themselves, and made trouble for the thought school was for finding someone to get laid with or do drugs with.
Maybe you think it's a grand idea because you expect someone else to take care of you from the cradle to the grave. That will be the end of this country when people take that attitude!

Go with Ms Hillary rodham/clinton, the "progressive" which means "socialism". You'll live to regret it, too. This country is being sold out by Bush at this moment for Hillary's reign of terror. Mark my words.

Yes, capitalists are for responsibility and realize there are consequences to be paid with every action we take in life. You won't find any true capitalists on welfare, driving without driver's licences, driving drunk, going through life without insurance of all kinds, looking for a hand-out, who don't take care of their families and when they die, they have something to leave for their heirs besides a mountain of debt. A capitalist won't EVER need socialized medicine unless, of course, Hillary becomes president.

Yeah, it sounds a bit like a socialist plan to me too. I agree health care should be provided for kids and the disabled, but forcing healthy working people to bear the brunt for everybody in the country's health care? Naaa.
