Heartless. Hell you yourself say the are already covered. This shows nothing. Since he is already covered then why are the Democrats parading him out. Dems have enacted a bill that would increase the money to 35 Million, Bush said no, he only wants 5 million more. Well since this kid is already covered, the bill affects him in no way.

Bravo.....parade someone out that the system is already covering.

But what I really want to know is how could the parents be so heartless and not get medical insurance to cover their children in the first place?????? Once again, seems like poor parenting to me, why didn't the state step in to protect this poor vulnerable children from their uncaring and irresponsible parents??

Conservatism, I repeat is not an ideology. It does not breed fanatics....But if you want men who seek, reasonably and prudently, to reconcile the best in wisdom of our ancestors with the change which is essential to a vigorous civil social existence, then you will do well to turn to conservative principles

He wasn't covered. But what insurance company takes on that kind of debt. That why they have physicals before they accept you. Insurance is for in case you get sick, not after you get sick. You don't run and get car/house insurance after a loss. If you call Allstate after the tornado demolishes your house they'll laugh you off the phone.

Having life insurance is a cost of "living" just as car insurance is a cost of "driving". May there ought to be a compulsory insurance with basic services for poor people. Because people need to get with the concept that medical care DOES cost.
