My wife makes mid $70's and is one promotion away from possible $100K. We pay plenty of taxes. And I worked up until shortly after my son was born. Once again you seem to farting on the keyboard stuff you have no clue about.
So, your wife pays taxes, you just freeload off the system.

Since we file jointly, her income is so high that part of my income is taxed, I pay taxes too.
There you go verbally farting again. Maybe you ought to STFU now while you aren't ahead.

I couldn't live for even 6 months on that.

Mind you I don't have the hard-pressed taxpayer to pick up all my big bills like some people

But Americans are still denied that right?

And the government can't keep everyone in those either. And they are much cheaper than health care. I don't want "my" or "my family" healthcare to be lumped in with those that have no idea of how to take care of themselves. I am one of the majority of people that ARE insured and happy with the service I am getting.

But why don't you feel the same way about education? Why do you want your child's schooling lumped in with everyone else? Including illegal immigrants, and the millions of kids who couldn't care less about education?

With all the drug addicts, smokers, lazy people out there, I'm not surprised that there are 40 million people without health care. That's not my problem. I know it's a hard line on the subject, but I don't care. My priority is to take care of "my" family first. Everyone else is an after thought.

So will you be refusing to accept taxpayer funded education and healthcare and paying your own way from here on??

Maybe you ought to put in a few years in our military and acquire renal failure like "some" people do.
Like I told a friend of mine once who was trying this same schtick...
"I refuse to allow you to make me feel guilty for my carefree lifestyle".
So there.
