I find it interesting that I often hear that embryonic stem cells are "better" and have "more potential", but i've yet to see any proof.

Even forgetting for a second that I don't support embryonic stem cell research, why are we as tax payers funding it? If you want the research funded, start a non-profit and raise money for the research. The money that the government gives away to fund this stuff is NOT free, it comes from all of our pockets in one way or another.

I agree. There has been much said about the potential uses for stem cells, and much said about what they will do, not what they could possibly do. All these assurances, yet no proof they do what is claimed.

Agreed. I don't support embryonic stem cell research because I don't believe embryos should be created soley for distruction, and I also believe that adult stem cells could proove much more useful than embryonic stem cells.
I also believe that I should not be made to fund something I disagree with. Those who wish to fund it can, out of their own pockets. I prefer to keep out of it.
