Thanks. I'm going great. I just wish I could get everyone else to understand that.

Weirdest thing though.....My taste buds have gone 'funny'. My beloved German Riesling tastes like sour apple juice, beer tastes like yak pee, and I can't stand
even the smell of cigarettes. A week ago I smoked two packs a day.

Hmmmm. Hysterectomy as a cure for bad habits? Perhaps someone should study me.

I had pretty much the same phenomenon when I had two "surgical procedures" this summer where I had to undergo full anesthesia -- only my taste for sweets was what took the hit.

My theory was that it was either due to the anesthesia
or the havoc that the lubricants used for breathing and stomach tubes wreaked on my throat and sinuses.

It wore off after about a month and I was back to drinking Mt. Dew and craving ice cream. Perhaps I would have been better off if it had been permanent. LOL
Right now America spends $700 billion every year on foreign oil. That's our money going overseas when it could be staying here. We have to stop this. That's why I support the Pickens Plan. Check out the website at www.pickensplan.com. If you like what you see, please join me as a Pickens Plan supporter.

I'm already going out of my mind not being allowed to drive (hubby swiped my jeep) cook, clean, or ANY damn thing!

I've checked several places on line for post hysterectomy support, but all I find is a S*** load of woman complaining and whining about it. Some of them are 6 months post surgery and still complaining of pain.

What gives?

Is there a huge conspiracy to milk this surgery for everything possible, or am I just weird?

I just got a brand new Greek cookbook and I want back in my kitchen!!!

Cat, you gotta do what the doc says and take it easy. Nothing you want will go away.

I guess as for the women complaining about their surgery, their surgery must have been somewhat botched, from what I can gather.

I once had a cyst removed from my chest from a surgeon under local anesthetic. It was awful. The cyst grew back two years later, and I visited another surgeon, who sent me to an outpatient center. That surgery was done under general anesthesia, and my new surgeon did a great job.

Now I guess these kinds of surgeries are done by dermatologists.

I'll take a month. It's making stopping smoking SO much easier.

I have to admit, I did sneak into the kitchen last night to whip up some marsala sauce and saute some scallops. Hubby tries, but his cooking is not up to par. Tonight I'm doing a Greek chicken with garlic, olive oil and red wine. I'll let hubby deal with getting it in and out of the oven, but I have simply GOT to take over the cooking. Two nights ago the man made frozen fish sticks and mac and cheese from a box!

I'll let him deal with the laundry though. I've hidden the bleach.

LOL. OMG. Your cooking, compared to your hubby, sounds like Ali's posts. She is a wonderful cook, but then you know how hubbys cook.

As for the laundry, I do my own laundry. And I am a wonderful cook, too.

My hubby does the best b-b-q'ed ribs I've ever eaten, but that's the extent of his culinary skills. Other than that, it has to come out of a box with no more than three steps to prepare.

The man would actually buy instant mashed potatoes if he thought I would let him bring them into the house. What's so damn difficult about mashed potatoes anyway?

Hey, he and I have one thing in common: buy boxed potatoes.

Boxed potatoes are fine to give to small children to use as paste for log houses.

As far as being 'food', ICK!
