If health insurance is gonna be free, it's gonna have to be sales tax based to make sure we all pay for it. And there are still gonna have to be cost tiers.

Sales tax or just a standard deduction from wages like SS - or like many people pay for health insurance currently.

What do you mean by cost tiers?

And we pay too much sales tax anyway.

And some people say we pay too much medicaid and income taxes too. Both will probably increase under universal healthcare to pay for people who aren't paying ANY income tax. BULLSHIT!!I say. The politicians promise poor people to pay less and less taxes AND free healthcare. What kinda crap is that?

We need to get Gary to tell what the politicians are doing wrong with health care. Seriously, he could probably straighten them out. Because however they are going to create one, will fail anyway. I love to see Hillary draw up a blueprint on how she would create a national healthcare system for people who can't afford it, especially if they are out of work.

You keep overlooking the fact that poor people who DON'T have health insurance are subsidising better off people who DO have it!

Every time you make a car payment, make mortgage payments, pay sales tax, buy groceries, clothes, shoes, plane tickets, gas, etc a percentage of that revenue goes to pay health insurance for the employers of the company you bought it from - and the vast armies of people who shuffle paper around to administer health insurance.

Passing responsibility from govt to employers doesn't magically remove the cost.

Hillary isn't proposing national health care system but a system of mandating purchase of health insurance from private insurance companies and preventing them from denying coverage to sick people.

There will always be people who manipulate the system by getting healthcare without contributing, just as the unemployed can still send their children to school.

Sooner or later the US has to advance beyond a neo-feudal society where only the rich get education and health care!
