Conservatism, I repeat is not an ideology. It does not breed fanatics....But if you want men who seek, reasonably and prudently, to reconcile the best in wisdom of our ancestors with the change which is essential to a vigorous civil social existence, then you will do well to turn to conservative principles

Here's an even better novel idea. Why don't politicians stop living extravagant lifestyles at our expense.

Why don't they put the SS money they took out of the account and pay it back?

Why don't they stop taking care of Iraqis,Pakistanis,Africans and Afghanistan's. If they can take care of them then don't question why they take care off me.

Do disabled veterans work that fought for our freedom? Does the government help homeless veterans wounded from wars?

Do you know my disablity? NO.

Do you know how I became disabled? NO.

The poor fight the wars the rich start.

Do politicians end up homeless or live in shelters? NO.

The politicians work is to make as much revenue from Americans as they can.

Maybe they'll start with the kick in the ass first. Then shot for repeated visits. LOL.

I think some people think you should just be shot if your disabled.

But it's ok when the disabled have to go and shoot "the enemy" so the rich can get "the enimies" oil.

There are people that think that. But then again there are those that are disabled that use the government to force people to give them money for doing absolutely nothing. It goes both ways don't you think?

There will always be people abusing any system in this country including the government.

If I could work I wouldn't be living in a cinderblock apartment with no carpet.

But since you can't, and had no disability insurance, I'd be glad for the shingles over my head instead of stars. Exactly how much does the government owe the individual that hasn't taken advantage of all the safety nets available?

Have you ever stopped to consider that if it wasn't for the high percentage of those people abusing the system, that perhaps your apartment could have had carpeting?

The simple fact is, there's a finite amount of money for the goverment to spread among the people who use those funds...And when 60% or better of those who are receiving those funds are those receiving it frauduantly...That means there's less monies to spread around period...

The ONLY thing that will fix the situation, is finding ways to remove those that are abusing the system...But those assigned that task are underfunded, under staffed, and over-worked by the huge number of recipents period...

A single caseworker is handling thousands of recipeints and there simply isn't enough funds or time to review each individual case, to do home-checks/inspections of each case...And to provide that extra staff/funds to pay that extra staff...That means even less monies available for those that need it most...

So rather then complain how little the goverment is giving you? Perhaps you should be investing a bit of time of your own to help them by reporting those individuals who are abusing the system themselves, who are taking away from the collective pot of funds available, so that there are more available funds to spread out to you and those that truely need the help?

You're blaming the wrong people NR...Not the right people.
