Geez, sounds like a slam right there by him. For how many hospitals would turn patients away if they didn't have (1) health insurance and (2) money to pay for the services?

A hospital can't turn you away if you have an emergency. But if you just come in with a big tumor, the first question will be whether or not you have insurance.

I was given medicaid through the katie becket wavier for having Asperger's syndrome. They recently took it away, but it did help pay for a lot of things.

Dustin, isn't that because Katie Beckett is based on your parents' income?

I wonder, when you are 18, will you be able to collect SSI...

YOU don't have to say. I only wonder that.

God bless you, Dear Dustin.

Well having a single mom, that wasn't the issue, the issue was that they insisted that I could not exist outside nursing home care, and my mom and the doctors could not honestly sign that then they ran out of funds and yanked it all together. I may be able to apply for SSI, I just haven't yet.
