Angry Has anyone ever had the "crud"??

What kind of an illness is it? It is not supposed to be the flu. I got hit with it last week. It affected my sinuses, and some days I had to use my asthma inhaler when I was short of breath.

My sister has it, and my other loaned her asthma inhaler to her.

What do you know about this "crud"?

If it's the same 'crud' I had, you feel like crap for about five days, then it slacks off.

Yeah, someone told me yesterday that it was like a nationwide illness. On Tuesday morning, I held my face in my hands as I thought it was ready to explode. I took Sudafed, and it helped a lot.

I googled and there are some articles about "crud", depending on how it is worded, I guess. Oh well.

I got some of that thera-flu and added bourbon. It helped.

Do you mean CROUP:

The term croup does not refer to a single illness, but rather a group of conditions involving inflammation of the upper airway that leads to a cough that sounds like a bark, particularly when a child is crying.

Most croup is caused by viruses, but similar symptoms may occasionally be caused by bacteria or an allergic reaction. The viruses most commonly involved are parainfluenza virus (accounting for most cases), adenovirus, respiratory syncytial virus, influenza, and measles.

Most children with viral croup are between the ages of 3 months and 5 years old. Croup is most likely to occur during the winter months and early spring, and symptoms are most severe in children younger than 3 years of age.

Yes, children do get the "croup", but we're talking about adults here. I've only heard the word "crud" for two weeks now, but it is bantered about on the internet, so to speak.

Would that be the Jack Daniels' bourbon, eh? That's must be your "wonder remedy"?
