You have no heart or compassion for the base of our nation. Without them we are nothing.

To have a functioning society the base has to be taken care of. It is not in America as shown by the amount of people who lack health insurance. Your views show you do not care for these people.

Want health insurance? Get a job!

I'm not going to pay to keep some other slob happy and healthy.

I provide health care for my manager and a secretary who has been with us an extended period of time. That is all our company can handle. Our other employees have a job (smart-ass) and they can't afford it. It is unjust tadpole... and you support it through your misguided views. I have seen a lot of it on this board. It blows my mind that you don't give a damn about your fellow man. Disgusting.

Dude, I was not being a smart ass. If your other employees want Health Insurance, and you can not provide it, they should seek employment elsewhere. I would have no qualms with giving tax incentives to small businesses, but I am not willing to just fork over free healthcare.

It is not that I don't care about my fellow man. On the contrary, I do very much. That is why I joined the Military. That is why I do 20 hours of community service per week, in my own free time, that is why I donate a full 5% of my pay to charities. I just ask that everyone pull thier own wieght.

I think tadpole has a point here. My father is a business owner and provides health insurance to all of his employees as well as many other benefits.

Yes hevusa you are right; some businesses do not offer health insurance. However isn't it kinda common sense to compare jobs that have better benefits and better pay??

Job A offers health insurance, dental insurance, and 401K
Job A yearly salary $40,000

Job B offers 401K
Job B yearly salary is $42,000

Some people who do not do their homework jump for the job with the higher salary. Yet you will actually make more money with Job A instead of Job B while paying for health insurance.

People that can't afford an American college education can obviously not get a job where health care is provided for them (most often). There is no other job for them. They are fucked by our system. We need to fucking help them!

They are not lazy bastards. I have seen this first hand. They are loving, caring, smart humans that need the help of their government. They don't want a handout.... they just want to be protected, and they deserve it.
