I'm all for personal responsibility, but you seem to be suggesting that that if somebody contracts an illness that they can't afford to insure, that's their fault for making a wrong decision.

That is a return to a feudal system based on privileges for the wealthy.

The fact is that capitalism isn't always the best solution.

Americans are forced to pay someone a profit margin on their health care, and this makes it unaffordable for too many people.

That is immoral.

Also, by moving responsibility from government to employers, the problem doesn't magically disappear.

Health insurance adds $1000 to the price of an average Ford, $1500 for GM.

No wonder both companies are struggling to survive, as are 100's of other US corporations forced to carry the burden of feeding health insurance profits whilst competing with foreign companies who aren't.
