So, how does McCain plan on funding his health care tax credit?
By cutting Medicare and Medicaid, of course.

McCain Plans Federal Health Cuts - WSJ.com

But Douglas Holtz-Eakin, Sen. McCain's senior policy adviser, said Sunday that the campaign has always planned to fund the tax credits, in part, with savings from Medicare and Medicaid. Those government health-care programs serve seniors, poor families and the disabled. Medicare spending for the fiscal year ended Sept. 30 is estimated at $457.5 billion.

Oh, yeah, and by raising taxes on, you guessed it, the middle class:

In exchange, the government would begin taxing the value of health benefits people get through work. If an employer spends $10,000 to buy a worker health insurance, the worker would pay taxes on that money.

Oh, how lovely...They're going to put the burden on a system that's already over-burdened and rarely even gives the minimum basic medical assistance to those already on it? Those already on those 'benefits' are struggling and have to choose between heating, eating, or medicine/medical assistance cause the funds are overstretched and minimal.

What part of Medicare and Medicaid is already failing those they're supposed to be helping, makes the McCain party think it'll be able to take even more from the recipients on those programs?

Seems that his plan is actually not to change a thing except make the situation worse and even less benefits available. Hidden message there? "Make the poor, elderly, and infirm take on the burden of health expense for the nation even more."
