Poppies have been a huge part of the medical community. Ever heard of Morphine?? Strike Two. And actually I do think opium should be legal since it is of earth. I don't think a government should have the right to tell people what they can and cannot use that is naturally occuring on this planet. Cheese isn't good for you either, should the government intervene?? Hell no. --- help me Instant Runoff Voting, you're my only hope --- There is little doubt that the world in general is more liberal than it was 50 years ago and beyond. Conservatives are simply roadblocks on the path to an ever more progressive and liberal world. What a sad existence. Last edited by hevusa; 02-19-2007 at 12:31 AM.

It's the equivalent of saying that, since most people have had a drink of alcohol, this CAUSED some of them to smoke cannabis-or some other drug-at a later time. And, why shouldn't some of the same reasons why someone has a drink of alcohol in the first place and at an earlier time ALSO be the same EXACT reasons why they would choose some other drug to use at a later time? The "Gateway Theory" is bullshit, plain and simple.

So go ahead and smoke whatever crap you want. But let's not make believe that the Journal of the American Medical Association DOESN'T carry more credibility than YOUR OPINION.
