So then, where EXACTLY do they say that ANYONE'S cannabis-or alcohol, or nicotine-use CAUSED them to use ANY other drug?

(Hint: They don't say any such a thing. Again, a STATISTICAL association is NOT a causal explanation.)

I decided to check out, at random, one organization listed above as approving of medical marijuana. I tried to post this earlier but it failed. It should work now because I have it in another window as I type.

Check it out if it works

If you can find evidence that those medical association DON'T support immediate legal access to medical marijuana why don't you just post that information here for all to see instead of posting an ad hominem?

JAMA isn't even sure. I don't think "elusive" really hits the nail on the head with the BS gateway theory.

Yes, it works.

"The American Academy of Family Physicians opposes the use of marijuana except under medical supervision and control for specific medical indications. (1989) (2001)"

As my post stated, they support the legal access to medical marijuana.

And all the other associations listed, what about them?

That does not mean that people should be able to go to their neighborhood pusher to get their pot.

And WHAT exactly does this conclusion have to do with the fact that marijuana use for medical reasons is supported by many associations in the medical community?

(Actually, with the current use federal laws, many people who should use cannabis based on doctor recommendations have no choice BUT to go to their neighborhood pusher FOR the drug. The federal stance is sickening, if you ask me.)

If pot was legal it would put pushers out of business, giving them less power and influence.

I don't think you realize that the government has made marijuana a gateway drug. Thats right..... D.A.R.E. had been telling kids for years and years that marijuana is just as bad as other drugs. Then when they try pot(because, like it or not, pot is a social drug found at just about any college party) they realize it isn't as bad as they were told. Thus, they believe other drugs aren't as bad as they were told.
I had it out with a D.A.R.E. officer in Colorado because he told my girls(they were 6 and 8 at the time) that pot was just as bad as other drugs and it was evil. I even wrote the Drug Czar at the time.

All this actually has nothing to do with the medical use of marijuana.
The other perscription drugs perscribed are far more dangerous and do more harm to your body than marijuana. No one has ever overdosed on marijuana.
gmeyers, please take a look at my second post on the following thread. I think you'll understand, not only my point of view better, but also why I posted this thread to start with.

Very good point.
