What's next then..our tax money going to those who want plastic surgery simply because they feel trapped because they are fat, etc.? I think if you want to "modify" anything about yourself, pay for it yourself..

There is a difference between someone who wants a nose job and someone who has gender dysphoria. Plastic surgery is something fueled by the unrealistic beauty standards used to sell products. "Beauty dyphroia" is the product of capitalism or the narrow beauty standards set forth by any given society.
Whereas, being transgendered, as has been argued by Dylan elsewhere in this site, happens naturally and across cultures and history.

I don't think people have distorted images of themselves because of capitalism. Hating the way you look or seeing yourself as unattractive has nothing to do with capitalism. It has to do with the idea of beauty that differs in every country. Socialists judge people based on their looks just as everyone else in the world does.

There is little doubt that the world in general is more liberal than it was 50 years ago and beyond. Conservatives are simply roadblocks on the path to an ever more progressive and liberal world. What a sad existence.

Mitt Romney wants everyone to have healthcare in Massachusetts by 2007. He asked the insurance companies how we can dramatically lower the cost, and their response was "co-payments" and "deductions" Increasing those figures will lower the monthly payment for individuals from 400/mo to about 200/mo or even less. Those who have very low income will get subsidized funding for health insurance.

You mean like the lie that the Bush tax cuts were for the wealthy? The truth is everyone who paid taxes got a cut. If you paid more, you got more back. Fair and square unless you live in the liberal world. In the liberal world you tax the wealthy guy more because he has more and give it to the other guy because he has less. That is called robbery no matter how you slice and dice it. Just because someone has more money than me does not give me the right to take it to give to someone who has less. Then they want to talk about morals. Hilarious.

Nevermind the fact that he might have actually gone out and WORKED HARD and EARNED HIS MONEY - as opposed to sitting on his lazy ass playing GameBoy and complaining about how "da man is keepin' me down!"
