So again we see that for every complaint that is espoused and for every statement they make about people not getting care, it is a myth.

Perhaps if a few more people spent a day in the life of some of us who work for the system they would see the problems. This year I will not be getting a pay raise, nor a cost of living raise, why??? Because the hospital is spending too much money - where is it all going, paying for he care of those who cannot pay for themselves.

In addition, there are people who go to the ER, rather than the Physicians' Clinic - primarily because they do not want to sit and wait.

If you're on Medical Assistance, and you have a choice to sit for 2 hours, waiting at the Clinic, or go right into the ER, you're apt to choose the latter. After all, neither option is costing you anything.

Sometimes it pays to be poor.

The ER is not the fastest route, I have seen people wait up to 8 hours to be seen. The fact is that it is not that they do not want to wait the time, it is the fact that making an appoint they might be for the next day is the problem, why wait a day when they can get it done today. The second problem is that many of the people how should I say this, like to sleep late since they have no jobs and have no need to get up early, they usually stay up late. Therefore the ER is convenient because it is open when they are normally awake, unlike the clinics which close areound 4 PM.

Conservatism, I repeat is not an ideology. It does not breed fanatics....But if you want men who seek, reasonably and prudently, to reconcile the best in wisdom of our ancestors with the change which is essential to a vigorous civil social existence, then you will do well to turn to conservative principles
