I think it is also partly an age thing. When (and where) I grew up, sexual discussion was absolutely taboo. It is one of my childhood hangups that I have never rid myself of completely. Even inside close relationships, sex talk makes me uncomfortable.

It is not so much the not talking about specific acts that is a problem; it is my panic attack when someone broaches the issue.
Right now America spends $700 billion every year on foreign oil. That's our money going overseas when it could be staying here. We have to stop this.

See that's a shame... And I hope future generations don't have to face this kind of oppression...

In the mid to late 1960's, there was said to be a Sex Revolution.

But I am not sure what that really did for society. Can anyone venture a guess?

I mean, do we as a society, over all, really have a healthier attitude toward sex, even toward our own bodies?

I think it helped a lot with openness, and acceptence... It helped people know that doggy-style is ok! And so are other positions! Oral sex is ok, mutual masturbation is fine... and so on and so forth.

I think that sex is a purposefully healthy biological release.
And perhaps time, study and media discussion has allowed people to see that as true.

Still I believe that many individuals have any number of unhealthy attitudes toward sex, deeming it as something "dirty" ...

I would not put my own values on anyone and to me whereas I do not believe sex is dirty at all, not even a little, I reserve engaging in it for the expression of love, of abandoning one's self to another completely.

I think that the pendulum swung too far the other way for a while, but balance iteslf.

Overall, I think that our attitudes toward sex are healthier, but the exploitation of same by corporations has more recently created a less healthy attitude. The corporate expression of sexuality is exhibitionistic and somewhat predatory. Sort of like the difference beteen a grapevine and a noxious weed that takes over everything.

Well I mean, I don't think it has anything to do with being natural and everything; I think it's just a common courtesy thing. It's private. Just because it's natural doesn't mean I want to talk about it, and I certainly don't want to have an unfortunate event of having an image of someone I don't like doing it.

Just because we all use the toilet from now and then doesn't mean we have to discuss the details.
