| Military Humor A Marine squad came upon an insurgent soldier badly injured and unconscious. Nearby, on the opposite side of the road, was an American Marine in a similar, but less serious state. The Marine was conscious and alert. As first aid was given to both men, the Marine was asked what had happened. He replied, "I was heavily armed and moving north along the highway, and coming south was a heavily armed insurgent. Seeing each other we both took cover." "What happened then?" "I yelled to him that Saddam Hussein was a miserable low-life scumbag, and he yelled back that George Bush was a rich, good-for-nothing, draft-dogging liar." "We were standing in the middle of the road shaking hands when a truck hit us." | A grade school class was having a discussion on important things, kids were coming up with all kinds of great stuff, then it came to Billy and he told the teacher that his brother got shot in the ass in Iraq and the teacher said, Billy don't you mean rectum, Billy said recked him hell, it killed him! Live the Light, Give the Light, Bring Heaven to Earth Every Day! I am not a human being having a spiritual experience, I am a spiritual being having a human experience. The ancient Greeks used to say, "You shall know a man by the friends that he keeps." Given the nature of their friends and advisers, what are we to conclude about the Republican party: Stop the madness before us it stops! | Three strangers strike up a conversation in the airport passenger lounge in Calgary Alberta , while awaiting their respective flights. One is an American Indian passing through from Red Deer. Another is a Cowboy on his way to Lethbridge for a livestock show. The third passenger is a fundamentalist Arab student, newly arrived at the University of Calgary from the Middle East. Their discussion drifts to their diverse cultures. Soon, the two Westerners learn that the Arab is a devout, radical Muslim and the conversation falls into an uneasy lull. The cowboy leans back in his chair, crosses his boots on a magazine table and tips his big sweat-stained hat forward over his face. The wind outside is blowing tumbleweeds around, and the old windsock is flapping; but still no plane comes. Finally, the American Indian clears his throat and softly he speaks, "At one time here, my people were many, but sadly, now we are few." The Muslim student raises an eyebrow and leans forward, "Once my people were few," he sneers, "and now we are many. Why do you suppose that is?" The Alberta cowboy shifts his toothpick to one side of his mouth and from the darkness beneath his Stetson says in a smooth drawl, "That's 'cause we ain't played Cowboys and Muslims yet, but I do believe it's a-comin'." "We could not now take time for further search or consideration, our victuals being much spent, especially our beer." - William Bradford Clowns to the left of me, Jokers to the right..... | ;0) --- help me Instant Runoff Voting, you're my only hope --- There is little doubt that the world in general is more liberal than it was 50 years ago and beyond. Conservatives are simply roadblocks on the path to an ever more progressive and liberal world. What a sad existence. | |||||||||||||||||||||
