 |  Man Screws His Pit Bull Terrier Spanaway man first arrest under state's new bestiality law By The Associated Press TACOMA, Wash. — A Spanaway man believed to be the first person in the state charged under Washington's new bestiality law bailed out of the Pierce County Jail this morning. Pierce County prosecutors say 26-year-old Michael Patrick McPhail was caught by his wife on Wednesday night having intercourse on the back porch with their four-year-old female pit bull terrier. The wife took photos with a cell phone and called police. Pierce County sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer says "There's pretty clear proof what happened to this dog." McPhail was arrested that night. Charged with animal cruelty, he could be sentenced to a year in jail if convicted. The bestiality law took effect in June. It was prompted by an incident in Enumclaw where a man died after having sex with a horse. Depending on the reaction to me I'd either check the pet for injury first or do my best to whallop the hell out of him. One of us would leave the house immediately. Divorce? That goes without saying. I don't know if a person could be involuntarily committed to a mental health hospital based on bestiality, but that would be my next move. I don't see arrest and incarceration as something that would help, unless a judge would commit him to a mental health facility. I would not trust a judge to be that reasonable. A breakdown might be in order after that; realizing the one you love is capable of such a thing would be a life-changing blow. That whole situation would blow. | They had to pass the law in Washington because last year a guy let a stallion bugger him and the horse tore his asshole up so bad it killed him. Gotta be tough to live out west. | |||||||||||||||||||||
