How about this, the ones that are caught get a choice, get deported or they can stay and help build the wall. when the wall is done we let them stay (provided they can meet the requirements to earn citizenship)
Call it a work release program.

Why not give them english lesson while we're at it too.
I really like that idea.

Enslaving a race and nationality?? They are illegals!

If they break our laws they are criminals. If I tried to leave this country, cross a border, with no passport, I would be considered a criminal! Same thing. Going about it the right way would be fine if the immigration cap didn't stop the large majority from getting a green card.

I have to agree with this too. If they break the law they should be subjected to some of the same things our domestic inmates are. It would be legal too if they are charged with illegal entry and then sentenced to a real work program to help with the wall.

If they want to remain in this country legally, they would stay at the tent cities, for their sentences, to get legal entry.

Except convicts were living freely in the country then they were convicted of a crime in a court and sentenced.

The choice is different. Deportation or work on the wall is a little better. I still think it's a ridiculous idea.

I usually agree with your veiws but I think you are short-sighted on this one. Once someone enters this country they are subject to it's laws. Sneaking into this country is against the law. They should be charged, in a court of law, and given the choice to work on the wall or go back to their homeland.
If they pick the work so they can become legal immigrants it would be their choice. I bet if we instilled this idea we would have illegal immigrants, already here, turning themselves in to work. What is better for them, living in constant fear of deportation, working for poor pay, or working for their entry and having a chance at a real job? It would help to get the situation sorted out. If they have a choice and pick the work why would this be a ridiculous idea?

I've been really busy with work and other stuff this summer, so I haven't had much time to watch the news. Are any of these proposals being mentioned in the media?? I think an idea like this would win large support and actually fix the problem if illegal immigration!
