They like to do this even if noone is chasing them. Of course, busy highways will soon be outlawed because it violates their "rights."

| Just as with health care the US is stalemated because one side won't budge from it's ideological position on what to do with current illegal immigrants.
I think Bush was right about immigration. There is no way the 15m-20m illegals can be sought out and deported.
And there's no way an 1800 mile border can be sealed.
Far better to come up with some program that gets them legal and some sort of Guest Worker program going forward.
By doing nothing in 2007 the problem just continues to grow for another 5-10 years until Congress finally starts to think about it again.
Meanwhile the problem has become far worse

The real answer is to contruct far more busy highways in Mexico. That way there will be no incentive for them to come here since they can dash across them with their families in tow in their own country. |

| What's the point of a guest worker program if the border is still fluid?

| New voters! Its seems to me liberals want to keep illegals around in hopes that in the near future these "new voters" will make it that much easier to gain the majority. Standing in line to vote i could not believe how many immigrants were ahead of me. I am not racist, but i refuse to believe that all of these people went through the nationalization process. When i got to the registration desk, the woman sitting behind the "register here" banner was barley able to speak English and could not pronounce my name. I am all for people coming to the united states, completing the nationalization process and obtaining jobs where they will pay takes for the social services they use. But wait.. I can't say that.. that would make me a racist. |

So wait, you actually think that the people that you called immigrants in the voting line, aren't legally here and they're voting? Did you know that many undocumented workers actually pay taxes under fake ID and Social Security numbers. Most of which wil not be used by them. And why would advocating people emigrating here legally make you a racist? |
