I'm probably in your age group or older. Is there something about the term "illegal" that doesn't reach you? There's been a FLOOD of illegals. Nobody really knows, but I've heard estimates as high as 15 milliion. At one point, there were 1.6 million illegal alien construction workers in this country. That's because they worked cheaper. They worked cheaper because many of them were being paid under the table. They were able to work under the table because legal American workers paid for their schools, medical care, etc., including the police forces needed to keep them under control. Then, the police couldn't pull them over because that was racial profiling. And, the legal American workers have also footed the bill for all the spanish language crap that's permeated everything.

It's a crock, and you know it. The one good thing: who's going to pay for them now that the legal American worker is becoming extinct?

That all works.
We have to do SOMETHING with them - they're HERE. Just ranting and raving and bitching and complaining about them is not going to solve the problem. We CANNOT realistically, logistically, financially search them all out and deport them. This is a sane solution.

It's NOT a continuing process. It will ONLY work after our borders have been secured. It's only for those already here.

Well in that case I agree with you. But we are still quite a ways from a "secure" border.

Why are recent illegal immigrants always running across interstate highways with their whole families in tow. Don't they know that is very dangerous?

In "certain" parts of Atlanta, we have had a problem with that very thing. Every so often you hear about a couple kids getting hit, and it's always some immigrant family towing their kids across a busy highway.
