that's true, and without documentation there is no way to know how much they are paying... but they ARE paying! assuming they're not being paid "under the table" (in cash), and assuming that they stole someone's SSN in order to work, that employer is taking $ out for social security/medicare and income taxes, as required by law. and these people don't live in a vacuum... they have to buy groceries, clothes and other necessities. they pay sales taxes for those. if they own a car, they're paying sales taxes and yearly license plate renewal fees. if they rent, they give money to a landlord who is using part of that money to pay for property taxes. and so on.
