my "bleeding-heart liberal" thing wasn't a joke...i put a smiley next to it (in the original post, if you look) so you wouldn't feel threatened. sometimes in this medium things get lost in the translation. although you were the one who made personal assumptions about me. (which, i might add, had nothing to do with the substance of what we were discussing.)

i think very carefully about what i believe and why. if there was a convenient name for the things i believe, it's PROBABLY "liberal." But like most people, not ALL my views fall into the "liberal" category... i am conservative on a few issues (the death penalty for example)... just like some conservatives are liberal about some issues.

also, if you had read my post carefully, you would have realized that i AGREED with you that illegal immigrants are BREAKING THE LAW.

i believe the "thinking before we carry on" advice should apply to you as well.
