Hah. Just because the other channels don't give the right-wing spin on things doesn't mean they're left-wing. I don't mind if you watch Fox News, and I don't mind if you agree with what they say, but please, for the love of God, don't think it's a "fair and balanced" source of news and information. Fox News is truly and insult to journalism.

Amen to that, MiraLee!! Only one exception. CNN allows, for reasons baffling many, Nancy Grace and Glenn Beck, but I've figured it out. It's the only way they can get viewers! Believe it or not, people are starving for truth!

News doesn't need to be balanced it needs to be fair. Young people aren't turning away from politics because of parady shows like the Daily Show they are turning away because of idiots on tv like Glenn Beck and Bill O'Reilly telling us to fear muslims and that kids today are contributing to social decay of their conservative standards.

O'Reilly employed the typical sensationalism that he is known for.
This ONE TRAGEDY does not mean that national policy should be dictated for an entire group of people. It lacks logic and reason.

With that said, I agree with the general conclusions he reached for different reasons. As Observer pointed out, illegal immigration in this country is a big problem which impacts America in a variety of negative ways.

We as Americans need to figure out what the heck we are doing.
We have immigration laws in this country.
Are we going to enforce them? Or just ignore them?
The proper course for "ignoring" them is to CHANGE the laws on the books to state what Americans really want.

What happened with this death is a tragedy, and there are a variety of lessons that should be learned. It's lessons towards the LOCAL policy that allowed it to continue is anecdotal evidence that should not be ignored as it sounds like it is the norm instead of the exception.

But for national policy? There are better arguments to use.

The truly annoying thing about O'Reilly is that if he didn't approve of the use of this death in this manner, he would be actively condemning such antics.
He's such a two-faced schmuck!

The issue isn't that he did anything unacceptable, it's that he's a moron who can't stay on subject. The issue was about a DUI, and he turned it into an immigration issue, as if the Vehicular Homicide would be ok if it were only done by a good hard working white christian man... O'reilly is a moron. It's political posturing and it's despicable.

Amen to that brother!

I think it speaks volumes that CNN is the channel that is piped into all the major military bases and is often used and cited as a source of intel. I've never once seen Fox used for anything official. Fox is brain candy...

Exactly. These are all old bastards who think that everything was better in the 50's and all we need is Jesus and a return to the 'good old days' then everything will be ok...

Bill O'Reilly may be an asshole, but I have to agree with his stance on illegal immigration. It's totally out of control and costing legitimate tax payers alot of money to provide them medical care and increased law enforcement.

I have an idea that would solve the Mexican problem - make Mexico part of the United States.
