I read that earlier and was jumping for joy. So are you going with a pre-written ceremony or writing your own handfasting vows? Is it going to be overseen by a high priest/high priestess or just between the two of you? Will it be a private affair (just the two of you) or with family and friends viewing?

We are going to be consulting with a pagan universalist. We may want to incorporate some of our own vows into the ceremony. Making observation of our lasting love, since 1972 and how the times, seasons, God and angels have moved upon us to bring us back to each other.

I think it will be a family and friend affair, who the heck otherwise gets to tie us up?

I did think to ask the officiant to tie a gold ribbon to signify that we give our love to God, even as we do to each other. And gold being for the divine. How does that sound to you?

Sounds good to me. If you're consulting a pagan universalist, they can actually see over the ceremony itself. In otherwords, they'd be the ones tieing the ribbons for you both, inviting family and friends to participate (during the ceremony that is), and all the other stuff you're including in on the ceremony.

Everything sounds wonderful to me. Just make sure to post pics and the words to the ceremony for us to pretend we were there with you, not only in spirit.

Again, congrats to you both. Dang...I'm going to have an adopted brother soon. WOOOHOOO!!!

Gawd!!! There is still so much to do. But all in all, the puter is up and running here and I will be back on more and more in the days and weeks coming up.

I miss y'all and the way so many here challenge my present worldview.
