Hello all!

Just a few lines to introduce myself.
I am from Canada (in case you couldn't quite figure it out) and am, what I consider, a moderate. In the US I would be definitely considered Liberal. In Europe I would be considered Conservative. In Canada, I'm just like everyone else.
I have a day job at a very large company in the entertainment business. I also run a web development side business (dealing with Joomla CMS) and do alot of image editing/restoration.
I consider myself to be very well informed on daily items, and I have a very low tolerance for BS and for stupidity.
I don't think that there is one perfect answer to the world's troubles, but I do know the people in charge are much farther away from that answer than ever before.
I am against the death penalty, for restricted abortion, against big government, wasteful spending and tax cuts funded by debt.
Government debt is a plague on our children and it is shameful how we ask them to pay for our mistakes.
Our super powers must begin to look at intervention as a humanitarian gesture rather than as a way to influence the politics and the systems of sovereign nations.

Hello and welcome. I look forward to your posts!

Welcome to the forums!!

I just started using Joomla not too long ago. Do you know of any hacks that would take in RSS feeds and post them as content?? If so, please do let me know.

Do you want the RSS feed from this board to post into the Joomla? Yes it can be done. I've used alot of forum scripts (used to be a tester for Invision) but I've not used this one. Is there an SSI.php file with this software? That would make it easier...just read the ssi script into the joomla through a custom module. There probably is a module for it on either the joomla site or the VBulletin site.

Sounds good.

I'm working on a project for a web design firm and we just started using Joomla. We are looking to extract RSS feeds and have them posted on the web site (with a backlink of course)...Somewhat free content that's always updated via a script

The ancient Greeks used to say, "You shall know a man by the friends that he keeps." Given the nature of their friends and advisers, what are we to conclude about the Republican party:
Stop the madness before us it stops!
