  |  hey! Hi. I'm Tia. I'm fourteen years old and my parents are active here. I'm interested in politics and my parents said I could try this out. I hope to learn from everybodys opinion and we debate politics in my social studies class. I hope to learn more to put up a better fight in that class. | |||||||||||||||||||||

| Yes, welcome. And also, hello. I am new also, but I apologize, I wanted to jump right into discussion before introduction. I guess that says a lot for the forum. I'm a liberal (if you haven't noticed already) from Columbus, Ohio. And I've been looking for a good political forum with somewhat equal sides. Usually the ones I find have either bias or are dead and people haven't posted in months. | Welcome to the forums tia and Katczinsky! First off I would like to thank your parents for allowing you to join our community. To join an online community and get involved in debates, will definitely be a benefit to you in any debate you come across in person. I used to fall apart when I had a debate with someone in person because I didn't know what to expect from the other side of the story. Now that you can hear both sides of the story, whether it's strong supported evidence, or conspiracy theories, you will be prepared when something like that is mentioned in a debate. I am very happy that a person of such a young age is prepared to open up your mind and absorb what's truly going on in the world today. Be careful of the media! I created these forums last year soon after the elections. Debates at school would get so out of hand, that I decided to make a site where we can all debate online instead of in person. Feel free to invite anyone from class if debates do get out of hand! Great to have the both of you here! | |
