Might as well do this again.
I've been on these forums for the past couple years now. Just been absent for a while. There are far too many new faces and I figured it would only make sense to make another introduction. Well, Where do I begin? Like my name indicated, I'm fron Nebraska. I just turned 21 not too long ago, and I am currently serving in the military (it's my schedule that makes it difficult to me an avid poster on this site). I'm a Republican, but I do have many liberal views, such as: I'm for gay marriage, I voted for Dubya, but I do not support the man, or this war anymore. I'm strongly against abortion, any type of Socialism and I have a strange hatred towards PETA (don't ask me why). I'm a very Christian man, however, I don't believe in teaching religion in schools. I hope I can be a more active poster like I used to be, it will be nice to get to know the many new faces.
Godbless, Tadpole.

“I am a Republican. I\'m loyal to the party of Abraham Lincoln and Theodore Roosevelt. And I believe that my party, in some ways, has strayed from those principles, particularly on the issue of fiscal discipline.”

You did not place your hand on the Constitution and swear to uphold the Bible."

gee, Nebraskaboy, how can you be a Republican? - we have many similar political views - but I'm considered a lefty pinko commie

Conservatism: Self-centered mean-spiritedness fueled by ignorance and misguided self-importance.

Bigotry is a social disease.

Legalized same-sex marriage almost certainly benefits those same-sex couples who choose to marry, as well as the children being raised in those homes. - David Blankenhorn is president of the New York-based Institute for American Values and the author of "The Future of Marriage."

Welcome back, Nebraska boy!

Hey, I was born in Nebraska... North Platte... my family lived in Halsey at the time. There was no hospital in Halsey, so when Mom went into labor Dad had to load her up in the family's VW microbus (dad used to haul a pony it it sometimes too) and drive to North Platte. I'm told that had he been about 17 minutes slower, I'd have been born in that mircobus...LOL.

Sounds as if you and I have some views in common.

I would not say I hate PETA... but as a hunter, I've certainly butted heads with PETA people on other forums.

Don't seem to be any animal rights activists here... but we need to get some into the mix. Heck, we've got just about everybody else.

Hi Nebraska.

Do you meant that you don't believe that any religion should be taught at all? Do you not think it is a good idea for young people to learn about the similarities (and the differences) of the three major western religions...Jewish/Islam/Christianity?...and that there are many other 'religions' in the world today...and always have been?
How do you feel about young people being taught History? Surely religion plays a big part in that?
