Right now America spends $700 billion every year on foreign oil. That's our money going overseas when it could be staying here. We have to stop this. That's why I support the Pickens Plan. Kinky uses a feather in sex play.

Sick uses the whole chicken.

Why did the masocist cross the road?

He was stapled to the chicken.

A joke inside the dining room at the boardinghouse in the movie, "True Grit". Glen Campbell, who played a Texas Ranger on the hunt for a killer, bore the brunt of the joke, as he was sitting down to chicken and dumplings:

Diner: "Look out for the dumplings. They'll hurt your eyes."

Campbell: "Oh! How's that?"

Diner: "They'll hurt your eyes, looking for the chicken." (laughter)

Campbell: "You sob (something like that in five letters, though)!!!"

love is a wonderful thing i guess. i was married at 17 and it grew me up real fast. then married again so 10 years of marriage and no love makes me want to wait it out for someone special and for the real love. love knows no boundaries if you really in love it's priceless and the only reason to marry. until then i await this beautiful time. Love is not a strong enough reason to marry. Though love is the strongest and highest regard you can hold for another, to marry that one so loved could actually do serious injury to that love.

There must be other facets of compatibility and singleness of vision to make a marriage work. Love can inspire the essential work, but if it does not, then marriage will utterly fail and the love will lie in ruin in the hurting hearts of those who knew it.

love is the only reason to get married. if both parties dont' love each other one's being a fake it's up to the smarter person to determine that. why else would someone get married less they were forced to or an arranged marriage. i dont' get it. actually i find your post offensive. coz love is a beautiful thing. just curious "why would YOU get married".
i'd like to meet a mad neocon man coz once you go neo you don't go back. M

Oh I am so very sorry. I meant no offense, Neo.

I only have had it happen in my own life that I have loved someone so much that I was so busy loving that one that I hardly took notice that he was not loving me truly back. And I do believe that there is nothing more beautiful than love, but that it is, if right, the great equalizer between two people. And both will find their purpose within marriage if marriage is doable.
Here is a bit from a very good book :
Quote:
Taken from Patricia Evans' book: The Verbally Abusive Relationship

To bring one's thoughts and to hear the other's

To express one's enthusiasm and to delight in the other's

To reveal one's self and to reflect the other

To value one's self and to esteem the other

To enjoy one's creations and to treasure the other's

To pursue one's growth and to nurture the other's

To cherish one's solitude and to honor the other's

To follow one's interests and to encourage the other

To act at one's pace and to accept the other's

To indulge one's self and to give to the other

To involve one's self and to assist the other

To protect one's self and to comfort the other

To see one's self and to behold the other

To be one's self and to let the other be

Is to love one's self and to love the other.

You married at the same age as my mom did, Neo.

Too often do we want to be loved as opposed to give love.

True love asks not what others can do for you but what you can do for the other. The near enemy of true love is attachment; the exaggerated not wanting of separation which will ultimately lead to disappointment.

One should not get married because they need someone, but because they love someone.

Or as Erich Fromm puts it:

“Immature love says: 'I love you because I need you.'
Mature love says: 'I need you because I love you'”
"If you want to achieve peace of mind and happiness, then have faith; if you want to be a disciple of truth, then search" -- Friedrich Nietzsche
