Reminds me of the Southpark episode where the guy got turned into a Dolphin.

I agree with you about the media circus if it doesn't die down. And I do have to question why he seems to have sought out the media attention. But that may well be a misperception on our part. It is possible that the media sought him out and he has simply been open to telling his stories whereas others in his position are more reticent.

In any case the media attention will die down when the next great freak-show comes over the horizon. In five years even those who are addicted to tabloids will likely have forgotten that they ever heard of Thomas Beatie.
Right now America spends $700 billion every year on foreign oil. That's our money going overseas when it could be staying here. We have to stop this.

I don't think this will go away in five years. Toned down yes. I think this kids' entire childhood will continue to get some media attention. It would just like the world's first "test tube" baby. Remember that?

"The world" might, but there will always be a certain number of people that will remember. And can you imagine the treatment at school for the kid? Talk about "anti harassment" training.

The "man" doesn't seem like the type to shy away from the spotlight or controversy.

Yes, I do remember. And I seem to remember, also, that she developed into a healthy, happy adult.

I think the analogy mostly applies to the media attention I was referring to. I think this is far more bizzare in people's minds. The "test tube" baby actually gestated in the mother's womb. It was only the conception part that was laboratory induced.

Would you have rathered that he get an abortion?

Real "men" don't get IVF or abortions. That's no "he".

I wondering that now "he" has had his baby, are they going to just sew a penis on him to complete the transformation?
