As many people that are railroaded by the police for any number of offenses and can't afford the legal defense to fight off our legal system, OJ thumbed his noses at em. Guilty or innocent, he won. Goldman is doing the same thing with his civil suit. Under any other circumstance, there is no way a man aquitted should have been sued.

That seems to happen quite often in civil cases, even when there is a hugely expensive trial, no mechanism exists to enforce payment of damages.

They took his possessions that he had before the trial, but they can't touch his retirement pensions. These give him a $400k/yr income. Move to Fla with the "right" laws and you are good to go. OJ isn't the first and he wont be that last.
